A polygon is a drawn shape used to visually outline or highlight an area on background assets. In a SensOreal context, polygons are used to outline boundaries of a living option/neighbourhood, releases and lots/properties. Users can then interact with these polygons on the Touchscreen to navigate to the content that the polygon is highlighting.

A marker is an auto-generated dot or tag placed on the masterplan / living option / release canvas. Markers are used to visually represent or ‘mark’ the core data in the ‘Live’ section such as living options/neighbourhoods, releases and lots/properties.

Polygons are manually drawn by the user — but this can only be done after selecting a marker associated with a living option, release or lot.

July 2026 Update:

Creating Multiple Polygons / Markers

To assist with how teams create and utilise polygons within SensOreal, we have extended the feature to allow the creation of multiple polygons for a single marker. This will be beneficial in scenarios where a release or living option includes multiple areas on a background where one polygon cannot sufficiently be drawn to encompass the whole release or living option.

Below you will find the steps to create multiple polygons and how to duplicate markers. For more information on editing these two elements, refer to the ‘Tips and Tricks’ section below.

How to Create Multiple Polygons

  1. Select the Marker you wish to create a second polygon for.
